F.A.Q

Q: Can people be in the images with the pets? A: Absolutely!

Q: Do you do human photography as well? A: We sure do! Be sure to check out www.ladyblack.ca!

Q: What should I bring to my session? A: Any coupons/certificates you might have for Posed Paws, any clothing you might want to dress your pet up in, and if your pet is food motivated, please bring their favorite treats!

Q: How long will the session take? A: Most sessions take 30 minutes,  but depending on how well your pet listens and how many pets are involved it can take up to an hour.

Q: Where do you take outdoor pictures? A: We have 2 locations that we mostly use in Sherwood Park, one of them is a path that goes into the forest with a nice bridge on the path, and the other one has a beautiful pond with trees surrounding and long grass. We recommend however that if your dog is a swimmer that we avoid the pond location unless you want pictures of your dog swimming! We are also open to other outdoor location ideas, just be aware that if you are looking to do pictures outside of the city that extra charges may apply.

Q: Can Posed Paws come to my home to take pictures? A: Yes, however if you are wanting images inside your home extra charges will apply because we need to bring our studio equipment. If you are outside of the Edmonton area extra charges may also apply.

Q: How many different poses are allowed in a session?: A: We're pretty laid back over here, we tend to go by the pet's personality and take it from there. If your session is booked at the studio we have several different backdrops and props to work with, we tend to go till either the pet's attention span is gone or your time is up.

Q: What types of pets does Posed Paws photograph? A: All types, from dogs to cats, to reptiles, bugs, birds, horses...etc the sky is the limit! We do ask however that you do not bring any pets that will be of any harm to our photographer. We like to keep it a fun and friendly environment for the safety and enjoyment of all involved. Please let us know ahead of time if your pet has any behavioral issues that we should be aware of.

Q: Do you recommend in studio or outdoors for pictures? A: Both can be great! It really depends on your pet's personality. If your pet is great off leash then outdoors can work great! The outdoors especially has more to offer for larger dogs. The studio is also great for all types of pets!

Q: What are your prices? A: It completely depends on what it is you want. Our standard session fee is $149 which includes a session for up to 3 pets. We offer several different types of print products including regular prints, larger wall prints, and albums. Let us know if you'd like to view our full price list and we'd be happy to send it to you! Extra digital images are $25 each which come in high resolution and include retouching. Any prints ordered include the digital image of the print.
